Michael Mirer is an experienced and skilled criminal defense attorney serving the communities of Broward County and Ft. Lauderdale.  When charged with any criminal offense, from theft to drug trafficking or violent crimes, Attorney Mirer knows what to do for your best defense. He has established a highly successful criminal defense trial practice in Southern Florida. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Mirer was an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County where he prosecuted all levels of crime.  He was ultimately appointed to the Career Criminal Robbery Unit and developed strong courtroom skills, litigating in the courtroom with over 100 trials under his  belt.

Mr. Mirer handles all state and federal criminal cases. He is experienced in handling all felonies and misdemeanors including sex offenses, homicides, theft and burglary charges, assault and battery, white collar crimes, money laundering, drug possession and trafficking cases, computer and internet crimes, DUI, Grand Jury investigations and proceedings, post conviction relief matters, appeals, bond hearings, arraignments, sealing and expunction of records, administrative hearings and professional regulation matters.

Mr. Mirer received his B. A. degree from the University of Miami and his J.D. from the University of Miami, where he graduated Cum Laude. He is a member of the Florida Bar, the middle district of Florida, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida  and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Mirer has lectured on trial techniques for presentations given by the American Association of Addiction headed by former United States Drug Czar Robert DuPont. He has also given lectures on cross-examination to other attorneys as part of a Continuing Legal Education program and has served as a judge for mock trial competitions at the University of Miami School of Law. He was most recently asked to join a panel of experts to provide legal opinions for criminal law treatises.
